Instructions

    • 1

Put 1 or 2 cups yogurt or milk into a blender. You may also use a hand-held immersion blender for this purpose, just put the milk or yogurt into a pitcher or jar for mixing.

    • 2

Peel and place one or two bananas into yogurt. Bananas that are just starting to go brown at the peel are perfect for smoothies, but some people prefer fresher fruit. Frozen bananas may also be used, it's not necessary to thaw them ahead of time.

    • 3

Pour 1/2 to 1 cup strawberries into the mixture. The strawberries can be either fresh or frozen, sliced or whole. The blender or mixer will do the work of pureeing the smoothie, but you do want to remove the green top if you are using fresh berries.
