Making juice at home may at first seem like a complicated task. However, with the right tools and technique, making juice at home can be easy and can save you money. Peach juice, which is refreshing on hot summer days when peaches are ripe and in season, can be combined with almost any other fruit to make a delicious, complex juice. Peach juice is sweet and generally needs to be diluted with water. Add carbonated water to make a peach juice fizz or add filtered still water to dilute the juice.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Electric mixer or (electric blender and very-fine strainer)
  • 6 yellow peaches
  • 1 cup ice or water
  • 6 tbsp. honey

    How To Make Peach Juice

  1. Step 1

Thoroughly wash the peaches in cool water. If you are going to be using a blender, you should peel the peaches with a potato peeler or paring knife before slicing and blending. Halve the peaches on a clean cutting board and remove the pits. Carefully remove any excess pith from the inside of the peach with a spoon. Cut each peach into eight slices.

  2. Step 2

Put the peaches into the juicer or blender. Juice or blend until smooth, approximately 45 seconds to one minute.

  3. Step 3

Add ice to mixture if you are using the blender. Crush the ice until it dissolves and then taste the juice. If it is still too thick, you can add more ice to the mixture. Use the strainer to remove any large pieces of peach still remaining.

  4. Step 4

Transfer the juice to a measuring cup or pitcher if you are using a juicer. Add water to the mixture to thin it according to taste. Apple juice or other fruit juice can be used if you wish. Let the mixture settle in the refrigerator for 60 minutes before drinking. This will allow the flavor of the peach juice and added liquid to combine.

  5. Step 5

Adding 6 tbsp. of honey to the mixture will make honey and peach juice. Honey and peach juice will need to be diluted. Use equal parts water and apple juice until you find the right blend. Add the apple juice and water slowly, tasting often to avoid diluting the juice too much. Let the juice settle in the refrigerator for 90 minutes when using this mixture. The complex flavors of the peach and apple juice need to combine. Stir before serving or drinking.

Tips & Warnings
  • Peeling the peaches before juicing them will make the juice sweeter. The skin adds a little bit of bitterness.
  • Do not put the peach into a blender or juicer without first removing the pit. Peach pits are very hard and might break your juicer or damage the blades of your blender.
