How to Use Benelli Choke Tubes
Benelli manufactures a range of semi-automatic and pump-action shotguns in 12-gauge or 20-gauge configurations. To maximize the versatility of its offerings, Benelli utilizes a system of interchangeable choke tubes permitting the customer a choice of choke (shot pattern constriction) to suit specific shooting requirements. These choke tubes are made of heat-treated stainless steel that undergo an exclusive Benelli cryogenic process to smooth the inside surface. This, they claim, can result in more uniform shot patterns. Either steel or lead shot may be used in these choke tubes.
To use Benelli choke tubes effectively, the shooter needs a knowledge of which choke to use for his particular situation, and needs to know the procedure necessary to insert and remove the available choke tube selections for the Benelli barrel.

Tips & Warnings
Use a bit of cleaning solution on rag when wiping threads. Smoothing the CLP around threads with clean rag facilitates insertion.
Make absolutely certain the shotgun is not loaded while changing choke tubes. Failure to do so could result in severe injury or death. Steel shot larger than #BB size should not be used in any choke tighter than modified. BB and smaller size steel shot may be used through full choke constriction. Overtightening the choke tube can cause the tube to lock in place and make removal difficult. Benelli choke tubes are not interchangeable with choke tubes of any other manufacturer, unless specifically stated otherwise by manufacturer.
