How to Delete Certain Cookies

Cookies are files that your computer saves as you browse the Internet. The cookies slow your computer down and, in some cases, keep your browser from opening certain Web pages. You might know the process for removing all cookies from Firefox and Internet Explorer. Computer users also have the option of removing only specific cookies from the computer, allowing you to isolate and delete just the cookies that you don't want on your computer.

      Open Firefox by clicking on its icon.

      Click "Tools" and select "Options."

      Click the "Privacy" tab.

      Select the "remove individual cookies" link in the middle of that window. A second window will open.

      Browse through the listed cookies. When you've found the particular cookie you want to delete, highlight that cookie and click "Remove Cookies." Do this for each cookie that you want to delete.

    Internet Explorer

      Open Internet Explorer by clicking on its icon.

      Click "Tools." Open "Internet Options" and a window will appear.

      Select the "General" tab. Click the "Settings" button under "Browsing History."

      Choose "View Files" and a second window will open.

      Right click on the cookie you wish to delete. Select "Delete." Do this for each cookie you wish to remove from the computer.
