    Deleting Songs From Your iPod

  1. Step 1

    Open iTunes on your computer.

  2. Step 2

Insert the Apple USB cable plug into the USB port in your computer. Attach the dock-connector plug to your iPod. Turn on your iPod. iTunes will detect your iPod device once it is connected. Your iPod will appear under the Devices tab.

  3. Step 3

Click on Music under the Library tab on the left-side frame of iTunes. Manually select the song you wish to remove by unchecking the box next to the song title.

  4. Step 4

Select multiple songs by highlighting the first song and holding down the "Shift" key as you highlight the last song you wish to delete from your iPod. Right-click on the selected songs and select "Uncheck Selection." Select multiple songs not clustered together by holding down the "CTRL" key and highlighting the songs you wish to delete. Right-click on a selected song and select "Uncheck Selection."

  5. Step 5

Highlight your iPod under Devices. Check the option "Sync only checked songs and videos" and click the Sync button. Your iPod is now synced with only checked songs from your library.
