Money clips are used to help keep your money and credit cards together. Many people like them because they work just as well as wallets, but are much smaller. They are generally made out of metal or hard plastic and come in a wide range of price. Instead of spending a high price on a money clip, try making your own out of paper.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Cut a strip of construction paper slightly smaller than the size of a dollar bill.

  2. Step 2

Tape a magnet to one end of the paper. Hold the other magnet against the magnet you just taped to the paper to determine which side attracts and which side repels.

  3. Step 3

Tape the second magnet to the opposite end of the paper so that the magnets will attract when the paper is folded in half.

  4. Step 4

Place your money on top of the paper, covering the magnets. Fold it in half and the magnets will keep everything in place.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use a dollar bill instead of construction paper, but you risk ruining the bill. Contrary to popular belief, common magnets won't ruin your credit cards.
