How to Make Natural Facial Cleansers
According to a report by MSN Money, facial care products make up about 20 percent of the multi-billion-dollar skin care industry. This means that as consumers, we are spending hundreds of millions of dollars to clean and care for our faces. If you want to cut back on some of this spending but still desire to achieve or maintain great-looking skin, you can accomplish this when you learn how to make your own products, such as natural facial cleansers. Things You'll Need
- 1 tbsp. fresh-brewed coffee--not decaf
- 3 tbsp. pure honey
- 1 tsp. sugar
- Small bowl
- Lidded container

Measure coffee into a small bowl. The caffeine in coffee can diminish bags and puffiness under your eyes, while the coffee itself has enzymes that help remove skin's impurities. Refrigerate the coffee for 5 minutes.

Stir the honey and sugar into the coffee. Honey helps your skin attract and hold moisture, and it also has antiseptic qualities that will fight blemishes. Sugar acts as an exfoliant, sloughing off dead skin cells to leave healthier skin behind.

Soak a paper towel in the natural cleanser mixture. Wipe an area of your face with the cleanser.

Repeat, dipping a fresh paper towel into the facial cleanser and wiping it onto another area of your face. Discard used paper towels.

Rinse your face thoroughly and pat dry with a clean, soft towel. Store any remaining facial cleanser in a tightly lidded container for up to 1 week. Use daily for best results.

This facial cleanser also makes an excellent natural hair treatment. Simply pour over your hair, comb through and rinse well.
