How to Make Call to India

While most people know how make a long-distance phone call, not everyone knows how make a call to another country. For instance, to call India you must have an exit code, country code, area code and a telephone number. If you have all of that information, it should be easy to make the phone call, but it can be very expensive. Talk to your phone company about rates or specials.

Instructions

1. Dial 011 for a long-distance connection.

2. Dial 91. This is India's country code.

3. Dial the area code. The area codes, also called city codes, for India range from two to six digits.

4. Dial the telephone number.
