Decide which types of products you are going to sell. This is a decision that you should take some time with. Ask yourself questions such as: Do I have any knowledge of this product? Is there a demand and market for this product? Can I get this product at considerably low prices? Do I want to specialize in certain types of products, or do I want to sell a variety of items? Regardless of what you decide to sell, be sure to research it thoroughly.

Purchase the products that you wish to sell. You may be able to find items online at wholesale prices and make a good profit by selling them individually. Other places to buy your merchandise are flea markets, yard sales, discount outlets and estate sales. Some people even purchase items on Ebay at a low price and later resell the same items on Ebay for much more than they paid.

3
Create a vendor website where you can sell your merchandise online or open an account with an existing site like Ebay. By creating your own site, you may have to pay fees associated with the upkeep and domain name, but all sales will be made directly between you and the buyer. If you choose to sign up for an account with an existing site, be sure to read the terms and conditions of the agreement carefully before accepting.

4
Sign up for a PalPal account. This step is optional; however, PayPal is the preferred method of payment for most online merchants and shoppers. A PayPal account can be created by logging on to www.paypal.com and choosing Sign Up.
