The i-mate JAM is a Windows Mobile PDA smartphone manufactured by HTC and sold primarily in Europe and Asia. If you are having problems with your i-mate JAM and need to format it, you can perform a hard reset to restore it to factory settings. This is also recommended if you plan to give or sell your phone to someone else. A hard reset will remove all of your contacts and personal information and restore the phone to its factory settings.
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the power button on the i-mate JAM. The power button is located on the upper right side of the phone.
Use the stylus to press the soft reset button located on the bottom of the phone. The reset process should take only a few seconds.
