How to Make MSN Icons
MSN Instant Messenger is one of the most used Internet instant messenger programs available on the web. One of the great features you can do as a user is create an icon for yourself. This is a picture which represents your screen name, so whenever you are signed in, all of your contacts will be able to see this image, no matter what it is. Of course you will not be stuck with the MSN icon and you can change it whenever you see fit.

Log on to your MSN Messenger account. If you do not have one, you can sign up by creating a Hotmail email account from Hotmail.com. You can also download the messenger through the link available in "Resources."

Click "Tools" in the toolbar at the top of the messenger window, then select "Change My Display Picture." This will open a search window with different image selections.

Navigate to the location on the computer where the image is which you would like to use as your MSN icon.

Select the image and click "Open." From here you will be shown the image and what it will look like while you are using MSN Messenger. If you are satisfied, click "OK" and it will become your new icon. If and when you get tired of the current image, you can change it using the same steps.
