It is very easy to change the language on an iPhone. While iPhones are sold with the most prevalent local language already enabled, all iPhones are sold with a very large number of built in languages.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • iPhone (any generation)
  • Need to change language
  1. Step 1

First, in order to change the language on an iPhone you need to get to the main or home screen. Get to the main screen of Apps by pressing the button on the front of the iPhone once.

  2. Step 2

Next, once on the main screen, click the "Settings" button (looks like gray gears). If you do not see the "Settings" button, it is on another page so just scroll over.

  3. Step 3

In settings, select the "General" settings button (again looks like gray gears).

  4. Step 4

Once in "General" settings, scroll down until you see the "International" button. It is in the fourth group of buttons. Select this "International" button.

  5. Step 5

At this point you will see the "Language" button with the currently selected language next to it. To change the iPhone language, select this button and then pick whatever language you would like to switch to.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also change the available keyboards using the "Keyboards" button/setting just under "Language".
