Things You'll Need:
- Halo 3
- Xbox 360
-
Step 1
The key to winning is learning everything about the map you are playing on. It is vital to memorize where each weapon and vehicle starts off and where you can find other advantages like overshields. This way you can develop a strategy for each map by picking up the same weapons and racing for the same vehicle each time you play on it.
-
Step 2
It is also important to use objects on the map like explosives to your advantage. For example when an enemy approaches you can shoot or throw a grenade at the explosives to damage them.
-
Step 3
Grenades are very helpful often overlooked. Grenades can be used to take down vehicles (by flipping them over) and enemies on foot as well. For example, grenades can be thrown off walls to damage enemies that aren't in plain sight but are seen on the radar. Similarly, the majority of the time it easier to simply throw a plasma grenade at an enemy than to kill them with a gun.
-
Step 4
Whenever you play remember this motto: don't go to your enemies because with patience they will come to you. Many people make the mistake of constantly racing towards the enemy team without thinking about what they will do. Consequently, they are outnumbered and instantly die. Accordingly, it is much more effective to find a strong weapon and hiding spot and wait for your enemies to come to you. To remain hidden, you can crouch (click the left stick) and you will not appear on your enemy's radar.
-
Step 5
Even though one person can make or break a team, winning and losing is usually a team effort. For a team to be successful, its members must work together. Teammates can do so by driving vehicles like the Warthog together and double-teaming opponents to ensure a kill but prevent unnecesary deaths.
