"Cankles" (fat ankles) have been in the news a lot recently, and although many sources will tell you to try things like liposuction, surgery carries a number of risks. Cankles are not permanent! In fact, it is very easy to slim your ankles with one simple exercise. In addition, you will strengthen your ankles and improve your overall leg conditioning in just seconds per day. You should start to see results in as little as three weeks, if you practice this exercise daily.

Make sure you don't have edema--swelling of the ankles. This is a sign of a serious medical condition. Cankles are fat deposits, not fluid buildup.

Things You'll Need:

  • A chair, bed, sofa, or any place to stand where you can take your weight off at least one foot

Sit or lie down, or brace yourself against a wall, so that you can take your weight off at least one foot.
