Things You'll Need:
- banana peppers
- sharp knife
- tupperware bowls with lids
- paper towels
-
Step 1
cut stems off peppersFirst, take a knife and cut the stem ends off of the banana peppers.
-
Step 2
slice peppersNext, slice the banana peppers cross ways into rings or long ways into strips, whichever you prefer.
-
Step 3
pack peppers tightly into tupperware bowlsPack the rings tightly into the tupperware bowls, filling them up.
-
Step 4
fold and place a paper towel on top of peppers in bowl, then seal with lidWhen the tupperware bowls are packed full with the banana pepper rings, fold and place a paper towel on top of the rings. Then place the lid on the bowl and seal tight. The paper towel will absorb any moisture and help protect the banana peppers against freezer burn.
-
Step 5
place in freezerFinally, place the sealed tupperware bowls in the freezer. That's all there is to it. This is a fairly fast and easy process and the peppers will keep for a long time when frozen this way. When you get ready to use them, all you have to do is set them out for a little while to thaw or if you're in a hurry, you can set the frozen bowl of peppers in some hot water to assist in the thawing.
