Using the Chinese birth calendar is a natural gender selection technique. It's been used for generations by parents who want to choose their baby's gender. The pregnancy calendar is more often used to predict baby gender, but it can also be a useful tool for baby gender selection. Read on for how to conceive a baby girl or boy using the birth chart.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Before trying to get pregnant, refer to a copy of the Chinese birth calendar. It can be found online. (If you just so happen to be in Peking, you can view the original.)

  2. Step 2

For gender selection purposes, find the mother's current age (or the age when she wishes to get pregnant) along the top of the Chinese pregnancy calendar. Some birth calendars put the mother's age at conception along the left side, either way, keep one finger on the correct age.

  3. Step 3

To use the calendar for gender selection, looking only at the row that corresponds to the mother's age at conception, slide your finger across until you get to the baby sex you would like to have. If you're hoping for a baby boy stop at the first "M" for male. If you're hoping to have a little girl put your finger on the first "F" for female.

  4. Step 4

Find the correct month that corresponds with the baby's sex by sliding your finger directly across the birth chart. According to the Chinese pregnancy calendar this is the month when the mother needs to get pregnant to have a boy or girl. (For more information on how to get pregnant fast by tracking ovulation see the link in the resources section below.)

  5. Step 5

Before trying your luck at baby gender selection double check that sex of the baby (shown in the block on the birth chart where the month and mother's age meet) correctly matches the sex of baby you're trying to conceive.
