  1. Step 1

One of the easiest ways to find a marathon to run is to talk to other runners. Running a marathon is hard so talk with other runners about the best marathon in your area to start with. You will want a well organized marathon with lots of spectator support to help get through the race.

  2. Step 2

Using the internet to find a marathon is another option. You can search for marathons by state or by date. This is a great way to find a marathon to run in that fits with your location and schedule. Most websites that advertise marathons also offer feedback from previous marathon participants about the course.

  3. Step 3

If there is a certain charity that you would like to support you should seek them out and see if they offer a charity marathon in your area. Many organizations are known to have marathons to raise funds for cancer research, ALS, diabetes research, and MS to name a few. If there is a charity that is important to you running in a charity marathon would be a great way to have fun and support that cause.

Tips & Warnings
