Things You'll Need:
- 1 or 2 Half Gallon Lime Sherbet Ice Cream
- 1 or 2 Liter Seven Up
- Maraschino Cherries (Bottled)
- Ice
- Punch Bowl
- Ice Cream Scoop
- Tablespoon
-
Step 1
Prepare this dish about 10 minutes before you are ready to serve dinner. In a large punch bowl add a layer of ice cubes. This will help to keep the sherbet and seven up cold.
-
Step 2
If you purchased sherbet in a carton, you can cut the container into half. Peel away the container and begin cutting the ice cream into pieces. Place the pieces on top of the ice in the punch bowl. If your sherbet is in plastic container then run warm water at the bottom of the container until ice cream is soft enough to scoop out. Make sure to spread the pieces of sherbet around the bowl.
-
Step 3
Begin adding Seven Up slowly. As you pour the soda over the sherbet, you will see it begin to foam. Fill up the punch bowl to about one inch from the top. (Note: you can add more soda or sherbet later as desired.)
-
Step 4
Open the bottle of maraschino cherries. Use a large tablespoon to spoon out each cherry. Place them on top of the sherbet mix. You can use the juice from the cherry bottle to make swirl-like design over the mixture. If the mixture begins to melt before guest arrives, you can always place it in a freezer for about 20 minutes. This will harden the sherbert.

Step 5
To serve your treat, I recommend using your best decorative glassware for adults. Take a punch ladle, spoon out a nice size chunk of sherbert into each of the glasses. Add seven up mixture from the punch bowl. Add a cheery for decor. This completes your refreshing smooth dessert drink that the entire family and friends will enjoy. If you are really daring add a dash of whip cream. Enjoy!
