Things You'll Need:
- Leather
- Latigo (or leather shoe laces)
- Heavy duty scissors
- Heavy duty hole punch
-
Step 1
Using an old leather belt, make yourself a bracelet or choke style necklace. Measure your wrist, subtract 1 inch and cut out a section of the belt to fit. Use the hole punch to put one hole into each end of the leather. Using a leather shoe string, put one end through each end of your bracelet. Put it on, and tie in a loose knot. Experiment with different belts; different widths and different types of leather, some with embellishments or designs cut into them. To make a choke style necklace, follow the same procedure with the measurement of your neck instead of your wrist.

Step 2
Using the same set of instructions, make your self an anklet. Measure your ankle, subtract 1 inch and cut out a section of the belt to fit. Use the hole punch to put one hole into each end of the leather. Using a leather shoe string, put one end through each end of your anklet. Put it on, and tie in a loose knot.

Step 3
Play with the general idea to create personalized collars for your pets. Pieces of leather can also be made into tie backs for your curtains. For a decorative bathroom idea, roll a set of bath towels neatly, either in the same color or in contrasting colors. After you have rolled several towels together, wrap an old belt around the group of towels and buckle it. This should be secure, but not tight. Place the bundle in your bathroom on a shelf or on the edge of your counter. They are neat and attractive, and if you ever get caught without a towel, you can pull one from the bundle!
