After years of denying their "green" water bottles contained BPA the CEO of Sigg, a Swiss company, has admitted these bottles do in fact contain BPA after all. Sigg has an exchange program allowing you to send in Sigg bottles with the former BPA liner in exchange for their new EcoCare liner which they claim to be free of BPA. The exchange is only available in October 31, 2009.

    Instructions

        Determine if the liner in your Sigg water bottle is the old BPA liner or the new EcoCare liner. There are photos on the left that compare the two liners. The old liner is a red rusty color (shown on the right). The new EcoCare liner is a milky yellow color (shown on the left).

        You must download the shipping label available in the resource section below.

        You must also download the the return form in the resource section below.

        Complete the forms and send them along with your BPA contaminated Sigg bottles using the shipping label printed in the step above. According to Sigg you must pay for your shipping to return your water bottles. They claim this is not a recall, but I replacement for those that wish to replace their BPA Sigg bottles.
