Things You'll Need:
- Resume
- Professional References
-
Step 1
Obtain a high school diploma or GED. Some mortgage positions prefer a bachelor's degree in business or finance. Pursuing a formal education will enhance your ability to obtain a position with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. The additional training will enable you to perform necessary job tasks and be considered for job advancement.
-
Step 2
Access wellsfargo.com. Click on the careers link toward the bottom of the introductory page. This page will give you many selections including undergraduate and MBA opportunities, career quiz and job search functions. Select the job search link.
-
Step 3
While on the job search page, type in the keywords field “home mortgage.” Select your state, region and city. Click the search button–this will bring up a list of all the available positions in your area specializing in home mortgages.
-
Step 4
Select a position that interests you and apply. If this is your first time on the website, you will need to register. On your application, be sure to list all experience, relevant skills and education on your application. A background check may be submitted if you are offered an interview.
-
Step 5
Consider applying for a junior level position if you have little mortgage experience. Most of the mortgage division positions require 1- year experience in the mortgage industry. An entry level position may be an excellent opportunity to get you started in a career with Wells Fargo.
