How to Restore a Deleted Recycle Bin on Windows Vista

The Recycle Bin is one of the most important applications you have on your computer. You always have to use it when you need to delete stuff from your computer. If you ever deleted your Recycle Bin while you were trying to empty it, here is the way to get your Recycle Bin back on Windows Vista. This process should not take you more than two to three minutes.

• Windows Vista

1. First, you have to right click on any empty area on the desktop background and then, from the drop down menu, click "Personalize".

2. On the left side, under Tasks, you will find an option called "change desktop icons", click on it.

3. Then under desktop icons, you will find check boxes and if your Recycle Bin was deleted it will be unchecked, check the one next to the Recycle Bin.

4. Now click "Apply" then "OK" and your Recycle Bin should reappear on the desktop.

Tips & Warnings

• You can do the same thing if you deleted Computer, User's Files, Network, or Control Panel Icons.
• You can choose between the empty Recycle Bin icon and the full Recycle Bin icon, or you can even change the icon by clicking on "Change Icon" and choosing the icon you want.
