How to Make Healthy Fat Free No Sugar Added Oatmeal Cookies

I have diabetes and have had to come up with my own recipes. I don't use sugar or white flour anymore and have lost 19 pounds in 2 months. The whole wheat pastry flour is perfect for cutting carbohydrates in your diet. Carbohydrates turn into sugar in the body. Whole wheat pastry flour is lower in carbohydrates then white flour. Things You'll Need

  • 1c. sunsweet lighter bake
  • 3/4c. walnuts chopped
  • 1/2c. raisins
  • 1c. old fashion oats
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tsp. water
  • 2tsp. salt (optional)
  • 2tsp. vanilla
  • 2tsp. baking soda
  • 41/2c. whole wheat pastry flour

      Use 1 cup of sunsweet lighter bake. It is a substitute for butter and oil. It's made from dried plums and apple. Lighter bake is sweet so you don't need sugar in your recipes. You can find it in your grocery store.

      Mix sunsweet lighter bake, water, and eggs together until well blended. Mix well the rest of the ingredients walnuts, raisins, oats, salt, vanilla, baking soda, except for the whole wheat pastry flour.

      Add whole wheat pastry flour slowly while mixing. Drop by spoon full on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 oven 10 to 12 minutes or until top turns brown. These cookie taste healthy. Makes two dozen or more depending on the size you make them.

Tips & Warnings

  • Let sit on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before taking off the cookie sheet. Comes off better and will not fall apart. Cool on rack.
