Things You'll Need:
- A well thought-out plan
-
Step 1
First step to consider, what kind of a trip do you want to plan (family, single adults, guys trip, girls trip, budget / backpacking, luxury, etc.).
-
Step 2
Second step is to know your options. L.A. has everything from beaches, comedy clubs, theme parks, museums, sporting events, shopping, night life, gambling, to adult entertainment.
-
Step 3
Once you decided what type of trip you would like to have, next on the list is putting together a workable plan.
-
Step 4
Where to stay: Your hotel should be your home base. A place that’s relaxing and comfortable especially after a long day of tours and activities. You want a place where it’s easy to get your immediate needs met, such as a store, nearby restaurants, and etc. If you are from a city, where there are no beaches, maybe finding accommodations near or on the ocean would be a nice option.
-
Step 5
Transportation from the airport: You can choose from a stretch limo (ride in comfort Hollywood style with cocktails), a limo town car (more comfortable than a taxi), taxi cabs (quicker than the shuttle), a shuttle (sharing a van with others) or public transportation (not advisable especially if your coming off an international flight.
-
Step 6
Do you need to rent a car? : It sure helps. Even though L.A. has gotten better with public transportation, we are still a long way from other nations or other states. L.A. is very spread out. To really get the most out of your trip, you need to be able to get around town. Rent a car with GPS. This will come in handy and save you time and worries.
-
Step 7
Shopping: This is a shopping Mecca. Whatever you want can be found here. L.A. has shopping districts all over the city from west side luxury to downtown’ s fashion district’s deals and steals.
-
Step 8
Restaurants: You can find cuisine from all over the world. Try something that’s not in your region. Maybe it’s Mexican or Chinese food. Whatever your palate desire, with a little research you should be able to find a nice restaurant.
-
Step 9
Safety: This is a very sensational city. Most people have opinions of L.A. from what they see on television. L.A. makes great news, true or not. In general, this is a safe city for tourist. Like any other large city in the world, try to use streets smarts. If you feel unsure or worried, go with your instincts.
