My recipe for a Cocktail Party Goat Cheese Tart is a nice appetizer to serve with a special wine or a soft drink when you have special guests over and want something different to offer before the main meal is served. I hope you try and enjoy my recipe for Cocktail Party Goat Cheese Tart

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Turn oven on to 375 degrees F.

  2. Step 2

    In a medium size non-stick sauce pan add the following: 1.5 cups whipping cream and 4 cloves of peeled and minced garlic. Bring this mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir or whisk occasionally. Cool.

  3. Step 3

    In a food processor puree the cream and garlic mixture. Add: 1 egg.

  4. Step 4

    In a large cooking pan on medium heat add: 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Heat the oil, being careful not to burn. Add: 1/2 pound of mushrooms and cook for about 3 minutes or until soft. Cool.

  5. Step 5

    Spread goat cheese over the bottom of a 9" pie crust. Place mushrooms on top of the goat cheese. Add cream mixture on top.

  6. Step 6

    Bake for 15 minutes or until filling is firm. Let cool. Serve with crackers.

  • Serves 8 guests.
