In Japan, voice actors/actresses are called Seiyu's. These Japanese voice actors are mainly known for playing in anime and video games. Have you ever been wondering if it's easy to become one? Did you always want to voice over characters in your favorite animes? Here's a few tips to get you started on this career.

    Take acting classes. In order to improve your voice acting skills, you should take regular acting classes to get even better. In the voice over industry, they prefer a person to have some sort of knowledge in the acting field. It also might be good if you join some workshops if taking acting classes isn't available to you.

    Once you have enough training under your belt, it's time to begin making your demos or cds. Whichever you feel is right for you. The internet is a good place to send in your demos to showcase them to potential employers. Other than the internet, you would have to try looking for companies that are hiring near you.

  3. Step 3

    After you build your network. You should keep in contact with companies of your interest for gigs you would like to do. Many voice actors try to get connections from knowledgeable people like their teachers from their acting or workshop classes. No matter what you do or don't do, you should be prepared for the hard work ahead of you in your profession.
