How to Put Together a Wedding Survival Kit
A wedding survival kit is a small package a maid of honor or someone in the bridal party should bring to the wedding. The kit should have everything anyone might need in case of a last minute wedding emergency. The contents are up to you, and they may change according to the wedding location and time. More than one person must know where the kits are during the wedding and reception.

The bride kit should have a makeup kit with makeup that matches what the bride is wearing in case she needs a touch-up. It must also have a hand mirror, a brush or comb, hair spray, bobby pins, and a curling iron if the bride wears her hair down on long. It can also have toothpaste and a small toothbrush, clear adhesive bandages, and white slippers or flats.

A bridesmaid kit should include full accessories for nails, feminine hygiene products, extra nylons, deodorant, safety pins, slippers or flats, hand lotion, dress shields and spare earring backs. If any member of the wedding party suffers a nail break, remove the polish from the rest of her nails, add a clear tip, and polish it with a clear polish.

A kit for the groom and groomsmen should have extra pairs of black socks, handkerchiefs, cuff links and a tie clip.

A generic kit should include several items that might be helpful for minor emergencies or fix-up opportunities. These can include static guard, a stain remover pen, a needle and thread, scissors, wet hand wipes, tape, double-sided tape (for a fallen hem), dental floss, aspirin, breath mints, a hand-held steamer (for bad wrinkles), floral wire and antacids. Smelling salts might be appropriate for some weddings. A little cash won't hurt either. Chances are the bride will not have money on her.
