Things You'll Need:
- The ability to pay attention
-
Step 1
Ask your her questions that relate to what you think she may be lying about. Does she maintain eye contact perfectly, or won't meet you eyes at all?
Experienced liars tend to maintain eye contact to the point of making others uncomfortable, and someone who rarely lies often refuses eye contact entirely. -
Step 2
If you think the possible lie may involve another person, find an excuse to borrow her phone. Don't go through it, just gauge her reaction. Does she give you a hard time about it, unusually upset about you using her phone? She's probably got something in it she doesn't want you to see.
-
Step 3
Are there periods of time that you don't know where she is, and/or can't reach her? Ever said she was one place but was seen somewhere else, or wasn't where she said she'd be? You may want to casually ask her about it.
