Creating beachy curls is an easy task. There's no need to purchase a curling iron if you already have a flat iron. Using a flat iron to create loose waves in your hair is simple.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

In order to get beachy waves you will need a one inch flat iron. Larger flat irons will not work to create the loose curls. Heat your flat iron to the highest setting possible to get the best results.

  2. Step 2

Begin with dry, clean, and combed hair. Pin up the top section of hair for easy access to the bottom section. Begin by grabbing a one inch section of hair to start with. Place the heated flat iron in the middle of the section of hair. Holding it securly in the center of the hair, turn the flat iron so that it is paralle to the ground.

  3. Step 3

Slowly pull the flat iron down the hair while it's still turned. Once it goes all the way down the hair and releases, you should find a loose, bouncy wave left in your hair. Repeat this with the rest of your hair.

  4. Step 4

Finish by spraying a light-weight hairspray. Be careful not to overuse hair products as this can weigh down your hair and cause it to look oily and flat.
