Things You'll Need:
- Black wreath - any size you desire. (Purchase from art or party supply store)
- Ornament balls - the small sized ones work best.
- Art paints
- Craft paint brushes.
- Halloween stickers and embellishments
- Halloween ribbon of varying widths.
- Wood Halloween cut-outs.
-
Step 1
Start by laying your black wreath on sheets of newspaper or wax paper in order to protect your work surface. Gather items ( use your imagination and creativity) such as Halloween buttons, Halloween embellishments and Halloween ribbons varying in width sizes. You want to choose a larger width ribbon size if wanting to place a bow at the top center of wreath.
-
Step 2
I wrapped my smaller width of Halloween ribbon which had tiny ghosts for designs on it, around the wreath, spacing each wrap about 3 inches from the next. I secured the end of the last wrap with a dot of glue from my glue gun.
-
Step 3
I then painted small Christmas ball ornaments ( plain in color ) with craft paints using colors of black, orange and yellow. Some of the ornament balls I spray painted as well. Some of the painted ornament balls me and my children added design to such as painting Halloween images on them, placing Halloween stickers to them as well as using double stick, narrow, art tape to the areas on the ornament ball we then sprinkled Halloween colors of glitter on. I used my glue gun again to adhere the ornament balls in between the bare areas of wrapped ribbon.
-
Step 4
I purchased the small wood cut outs from the art supply store of things such as a witch, a pumpkin and a ghost and used art paint and a brush to paint the cut out. With the pumpkin cut-out, I painted it orange and painted the face of the pumpkin where it indicated black. Again, use your imagination and your creativity to do this. I used my glue gun to place these images on the wreath. I also used my glue gun to adhere the Halloween buttons randomly on the wreath. I then used my wider width of ribbon to make a bow which I glued to the top center area of wreath.
