Ever wanted cookies *right now* but didn't want to deal with making them from scratch? With a simple list of ingredients, you can be eating some home made cookies in under twenty minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One box cake mix
  • Two eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • Bowls, Pans, Oven, etc
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 deg. F. Open box of cake mix and put it into a bowl. Forget about the box instructions.

  2. Step 2

Add the vegetable oil and the eggs and stir. You may want to use a mixer instead of your hands. If the dough becomes too tough to handle, add a small amount of water. I usually add a little bit of water (not more than a tablespoon) as I'm working to make it easier.

  3. Step 3

Scoop out the dough into teaspoon sized clumps onto a pan. The pan does not need to be greased or sprayed, but if you burn the cookies, they will stick and possible damage the pan. Best bet is to use aluminum foil to protect your pan.

  4. Step 4

Cook for 8 minutes, and check them. They do burn easy, so if you have an uneven oven, you may want to check frequently.

  5. Step 5

Let cool, eat, and enjoy! They may fall apart if you remove them from the pan too soon, so be careful.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can do so much with these cookies! You can make two boxes, separately, and join them together before baking to make half moon cookies. You can frost them, add chocolate chips, even fruit or sprinkles.
  • I've also added frosting in between the cookies for sort of a frosting sandwich. Whipped cream, pudding, etc, would also work as a good "filling" for cake mix cookie sandwiches.
  • Make sure your children are supervised if you're cooking with them.
