Make an amazing New York style cheesecake.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 3/8 cup of melted butter
  • 5 (8 oz.) packages of softened cream cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 3/4 cups of white sugar
  • 1/8 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 9 or 10 inch spring-form pan
  • 1 lb. of strawberries, or fruit of your choice (optional)
  1. Step 1

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Step 2

Mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/2 cup of white sugar together. Press the mixture into the bottom of the spring-form pan (I prefer the 10 inch pan).

  3. Step 3

Combine cream cheese, eggs, and eggs yolks in a large bowl and mix until smooth. Add the 1 3/4 of white sugar, flour, and the heavy whipping cream. Blend all ingredients until smooth, and pour into prepared pan.

  4. Step 4

Bake in 200 degree oven for 3 hours and 15 minutes. Once time is up, turn the oven off and crack oven door and let the cheesecake cool off in the oven for an hour. After the hour is up, place cheesecake in the fridge AT LEAST overnight.

  5. Step 5

Optional fruit topping: Place as much fruit as you want on top of the cheesecake. Crush the remaining fruit in a strainer and collect the juice that comes out. Add sugar to the fruit juice, stir, and pour over the fruit and cheesecake.
