How to Shave Your Own Back Without Your Wife

Embarrassed to ask your wife or family members to shave your hairy back? Want to avoid going to a salon to have someone rip hair off of your back with wax treatments? You don't have to do that anymore, as long as you have this handy little tool.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase one of the neat angled back shaving tools that are now available on the market (see "Resources" for an example). These tools bend at up to a 135% angle so that you can shave the unwanted hair off of your back the same way you would use a shower pouf with a long handle.

  2. Step 2

Take a shower. Wash your back as thoroughly as possible and rinse it clean. Make sure it's completely dry before shaving your own back.

  3. Step 3

Choose a well lit place to shave your back and place a few paper towels on the ground where the hair will fall.

  4. Step 4

Position yourself with your back to the mirror (preferably a three way mirror--see example below). Take a look back to see what needs to be shaved.

  5. Step 5

Turn the back shaving tool on and reach behind your back with it to begin shaving. You can go over your shoulder, or around your torso to access your back. Play around with the angling to get the right positioning - this could take a few tries.

  6. Step 6

When finished, towel off any excess hair and then rub some aloe vera lotion on your back to soothe your skin.
