  1. Step 1

    REDUCE SALT INTAKE

    One of the most common causes of hand and finger bloating is high sodium levels. Reduce your daily sodium intake and try to drink more water to flush extra sodium out of your system.

    REDUCE ALCOHOL

    Drinking more than one alcoholic beverage per day for women, and more than two daily for men can cause foot and hand puffiness. Reduce your alcohol consumption or try to drink a glass of water in between alcoholic beverages. Cutting down on the alcohol may greatly reduce incident of foot and hand inflammation swelling. Most people who experience hand and foot puffiness from alcohol also often complain about experiencing a tingling sensation as well. Cut back on alcohol.

    TRY A WATER PILL

    There are various diuretics that can be purchased over- the- counter that can provide you with instant relief from hand and finger bloating. Diurex makes an excellent water pill that contains caffeine (caffeine-free is also available) and can reduce the excess water in your fingers/foot/hands.

    DRINK A GLASS OF CHERRY JUICE

    Cherry juice is an excellent natural cure for hand and finger bloating. It has natural anti-inflammatory properties and also helps to alleviate pain. Try to choose a cherry juice brand that is 100% juice and has no added sugars. Eating cherries can also provide you with the same benefit.

    SWEAT IT OUT

    Exercise will also help alleviate swelling. If you have the time and the energy, engage in cardiovascular activities that will allow you to break a sweat. The fluids you loose through working out will rid your body of sodium- thus eliminating your extremities of the discomfort.
