This is a continuation of Flat Bike Tires. In this article I am showing how to fix the tire after finding the flat.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Heavy Duty Glue
  • Rubber Replacement
  1. Step 1

Remove the tire from the bike, remove the outside tire cover, and find the flat. This is in my other article "How to Find a Hole in a Flat Bike Tire"

  2. Step 2

Go to your local hardware store and buy heavy duty glue and a rubber replacement piece. They should have everything for less then $10. This is better then replacing the tire which will cost you even more them $10.

  3. Step 3

Place the glue around the hole, get the glue as close to the hole as you can. Put the glue about the size of the replacement rubber piece. You should also put extra glue on the replacement piece for extra assurance that there is enough glue. Put the replacement rubber piece on top of the hole and let the glue dry. Once that is done, put the tire back together and pump the tire up and you are ready to ride again.
