How to Make Free Passport Photos at Home
We often need passport photos for something or the other. When you go to a studio or a store they charge you big bucks for the quick photo they take. Keep those days behind now. There is a way where you can take pictures at the convenience of your home. Select the best one you like and make passport photos from it. All for free. The following steps will guide you to get free passport photos done at home.

Take the picture
Stand about 6 feet away from the person and take the picture using your digital camera. Take the picture with straight face of the person. Make sure you use white or light background with good amount of light in the room. Avoid any expressions ( smile, frown etc) on the face. Do not wear anything that would cover head, ears or eyes. If the person regularly wears glasses that can be present while taking picture. -

Upload original picture
Go to http://www.epassportphoto.com. Select your country from the drop-down list. United States is selected by default.
Click on "Get My Free Passport Photos" link below the drop-down list.
It will take you to a web page where you can choose the picture you took in Step 1.
Select the picture and click "Next" button. -

Convert to passport size
Your picture will now appear on the screen. Follow the instructions in the page to select the frame and drag it as needed to get the right part cropped. You can refer to USA passport picture guidelines(included in resource section below) for exact specification. -

Download passport pictures
Once you have selected the right frame in step above you are almost done. Click the "Next" button. You will see "Download and Print" link. Click on this link and then click on "download the passport sheet image" button on the next page. Save the passport picture on your computer. -

Print and use
In USA format, you get five pictures on a 4X6 sheet. The 6th box has ePassportPhoto.com written in it. You can print one copy in your photo printer and cut five passport photos from it. When you need more copies it is just a print away from your computer.
