How to Make Money Online by Taking Surveys for Valued Opinions

If you have access to a computer and an internet connection, taking online surveys can be a good way to make a little extra money on the side. One of the better online survey companies is Valued Opinions. Once you sign up with Valued Opinions and fill out your profile, you will begin to receive email invitations to surveys that offer cash incentives ranging from as little as $1.00 to as much as $10.00 or even more. Once you accumulate at least $20.00 in your account, you will be able to exchange your cash rewards for a prepaid Visa gift card or a gift certificate to Amazon, Macy's, Blockbuster, Marriott, or a one of a number of other popular retailers.

1. Join the Valued Opinions panel at www.valuedopinions.com. Membership is free.

2. Complete your profile. In addition to asking for your address and some other basic information such as birth date, employment status, and income level, you will be asked a number of questions about a number of other topics including your marital status and household, your shopping habits, and your hobbies. You can answer as many or as few of these questions as you like. However, the more questions you answer, the more likely you are to receive invitations to surveys for which you are particularly qualified.

3. Check your email regularly for invitations to surveys offered by Valued Opinions. The number of invitations will vary from only one or two per week to as many as ten. Try to take the survey as soon after you receive the invitation as possible. Each survey has a deadline, and sometime surveys close even before the deadline if a sufficient number of responses are received.

4. The first few questions of each survey are screening questions. Your answers to these questions will determine whether you qualify to take the survey. If you do not qualify, the survey will end, and you will not receive a reward. However, if you do qualify, you will be allowed to finish the survey in its entirety, and your account will be credited with the specified monetary reward.

5. It may take up to 28 days for pending cash rewards to be credited to your account. Once the credit in your account reaches $20, you will be able to choose a prize by clicking on the "Rewards" tab in your Valued Opinions account. If you choose an Amazon gift voucher, it will be emailed to you immediately after you make your selection. For most other prizes, the gift certificate will be mailed to you at the address that you provided when you signed up for Valued Opinions.

Tips & Warnings

• When you sign up for Valued Opinions, try to answer as many profile questions as possible. The more complete your profile, the more likely that you will be sent surveys for which you qualify. That means that you will waste less time answering screening questions only to be told at the end that you do not qualify to take the whole survey.
• If you move or change your preferred mailing address, be sure to update the information that you have on file with Valued Opinions. When you choose a reward, unless you choose an Amazon gift voucher, your gift certificate will sent to the mailing address that you provide Valued Opinions.
• Be sure not to wait too long to take a Valued Opinions survey once you receive a survey invitation. Surveys have deadlines and often fill quickly.
