Things You'll Need:
- Broic acid
- Cane Sugar
-
Step 1
Clean your house regularly. The only reason cockroaches are present is because they are getting fed. Food particles under couches or on the floor is what contributes to cockroach infestations. If you eliminate food crumbs and spilled beverages, you eliminate the cockroaches food source. So clean out your cabinets, seal any food containers, and make sure every surface is clean. A spilled drink can coat a surface with sugar if not cleaned up properly. Cockroaches are heavily attracted to sugar.
-
Step 2
Mix equal parts of boric acid powder with cane sugar. Boric acid can be purchased at most pharmacies and drug stores. Boric acid kills roaches naturally and is completely safe for humans and pets alike. It usually comes in a powder form and is reasonably priced. There are many home remedies to kill cockroaches out there but few work. This is the only one I have tried that actually worked.
-
Step 3
Pour you mixture of Boric acid and sugar in places where it will not be noticed. Cockroaches like to hang out under fridges, appliances, and in dark cabinets. When the cockroaches eat the sugar they will track the boric acid back to their nest on their feet and hopefully kill all their friends. Boric acid is one of the best natural ways to kill cockroaches. Many commercial products such as the popular Black Flag Roach Motels contain boric acid. Boric acid is even know to kill tough German cockroaches.
