  1. Step 1

    Try and set up mentors for your child. The children often look up to the habits of their mentors and try and inculcate similar qualities in themselves.

  2. Step 2

    Praise your kids regularly for al good deeds or activities they do. This goes a long way in improving your child's self esteem. The compliments should be genuine and from the heart.

  3. Step 3

    Studies indicate that aerobic exercises can greatly enhance a child's self esteem. Encourage you child to take part in enjoyable daily activities be it running or baseball or just playing with other kids.

  4. Step 4

    Talk to the child's teacher. Encouragement in school especially by teachers greatly enhances a child's self esteem especially in the school setting. Regular interactions with your child's teachers help to formulate better and more cohesive esteem enhancing plans.

  5. Step 5

    Encourage you child to take part in social activities. This is a natural and probably the best way to develop self esteem.
