How to Make Your Own Ring Around the Collar Stain Remover Spray

The stain inside the collar of a shirt more commonly known as ring around the collar can be very difficult to get rid of, if you don't use the right cleaner. Don't get rid of those white shirts because you have not been able to get rid of those collar stains in the past. This spray really does work and it works well. I have found it to be better than any commercial stain remover that is sold for ring around the collar and it is much less expensive.

Things You'll Need

• Water
• Shampoo for Oily Hair
• Ammonia

Instructions

1. Mix ¼ of a cup of very warm water, ¼ of a cup of shampoo for oily hair and ¼ of a cup of ammonia. Any type of oily hair shampoo will do, use what you have or if you have to buy it don't buy an expensive one. try to find an oily hair shampoo that doesn't have coloring. Make sure all ingredients are mixed thoroughly, especially the shampoo.

2. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Spray the ring around the collar spray directly onto the collar stains.

3. Scrub the collar with a clean soft rag dampened with the ring around the collar spray. Do not use a scrub brush or any abrasive sponge because the scrubbing action will break down the fibers of the collar.

4. Allow to sit for 45 minutes to an hour. Wash as usual.
