How to Search for Pictures That Have Been Downloaded on Your Computer

If you're concerned about what images your children have downloaded on your computer (or theirs) because they might be inappropriate material for their age, you can quickly check for any pictures downloaded from emails or the Internet, even if you don't consider yourself to be computer savvy.

Step 1

Click on the "Start" menu at the bottom-left of the screen.

Click on "Programs" or "All Programs."

Step 3

Click on "Accessories."

Click on "System Tools."

Step 5

Click on "Disk Clean Up." A window will pop up, telling you whether there is anything stored in "Temporary Internet Files."

Step 6

If files or pictures are stored on "Temporary Internet Files," then select "View Files." In the box below, you will see a list of documents or folders. Click on these. You'll find out if any photos or images have been downloaded to your computer.

Step 7

To delete the downloaded files or pictures, go back to the "Disk Clean Up" window and click "OK."
