How to Unlock ANY Apple iPhone 2G/3G/3GS for FREE

These are instructions on how to jailbreak and unlock your iPhone 2G/3G/S running the most current software (firmware) package - 3.0.x. This tutorial is for Windows users. Please follow all instructions exactly as stated to avoid any problems. I have done this hundreds of times with perfect results.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Apple iPhone 2G/3G/S
  • USB sync cable
  • Computer running Windows
  • 1 hour of time
  • Internet connection
  1. Step 1

    Download the following files:

    1. RedSn0w (Used to access the file system)
    http://thebigboss.org/hostedfiles/redsn0w-win_0.8.zip

    2. iPhone Firmware (Choose the one for your device)
    http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750

  2. Step 2

    Connect your iPhone to iTunes. Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left. Now hold down shift and click the Restore button. Restore is preferred as it won't create any wasted space on your iPhone. Select the firmware you downloaded.

  3. Step 3

    Open RedSn0w and click browse. Locate the file you updated your phone with. Click next and check the "Cydia" box. Follow the onscreen instructions.

  4. Step 4

    After iPhone restarts, open Cydia, after you have connected the iPhone to the internet on wifi. Let it refresh and tap Manage. Tap sources. Add the source - repo666.ultrasn0w.com

  5. Step 5

    Install UltraSn0w from the changes menu. Let the iPhone reboot.

  6. Step 6

    Insert a SIM card and your done!
