Step 1
Visit your local retail bookstore and make a list of all the books you would like to buy.

Search one of the online book sellers I have listed under resources for the books you are interested in. You will see a list of all the sellers who are selling the title you are looking for. They will be categorized by condition and the lowest priced items will be displayed first. Look for a seller with 100% positive feedback. Many sellers list books that are actually brand new. If you don't need a book in perfect condition you can save even more money by picking a book in good or very good condition instead of a brand new book.

Make sure you check the prices at at least two of the online used and new booksellers. It is easy to comparison shop right in your living room on your computer.

Save Money on Used BooksBefore you finish your purchase you should google for "coupon codes" for the site you are going to purchase from. Very often you will find online coupon codes to you can used at check out to save even more money.

Step 5
If you can't wait to receive your books in the mail and want to shop today do a google search for "printable coupon" for one of the major bookstores in your area. Almost always you will find current coupons to print out and bring to the store to save anywhere from 10%-25% off.
