You know you should eat a healthy breakfast to get your day started out on the right foot, but it can be hard to find the time. By making oatmeal in a large plastic cup you can take it with you in the morning and enjoy a healthy breakfast on the run. There are so many tasty healthy add-ins to put in oatmeal that you can have a different variety every day. A warm cup of oatmeal also makes a great snack. Read on for ideas on how to have a great breakfast on the go.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tall Plastic cup
  • Packet of instant oatmeal
  • Some of these....
  • Raisins or dried berries
  • Chopped nuts
  • Flax seed
  • Brown Sugar
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon
  • Coco powder
  • Granola
  • Trail Mix
  • Sliced banana or other fruit
  • Graham cracker pieces
  • Yogurt
  • Dry Cereal
  1. Step 1

    Make oatmeal in the tall cup according to package directions. The tall cup provides a spill proof easy to eat out of container of oatmeal to go.
    You can use milk, apple or cranberry juice instead of water to add a little extra flavor.

    If you're using dried fruit or berries you can put them in the liquid when you heat it so they re-hydrate.

  2. Step 2

    Now for the fun part...add some of the ingredients on the list to create a delicious breakfast. Try something new each day, it's amazing how many combinations you can come up with. Kids love to choose what they want on theirs.

    If you have foods that you're trying to eat more of this is a great place to add it.

  3. Step 3

    Grab a spoon and napkin and you're ready to have a warm healthy yummy breakfast to get your day off to a great start.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be careful if you're eating while driving; it's probably best to wait for a red light or wait 'till you get to the office.
