How to Customize your Headband

Things You'll Need:

• Scissors
• Range of fabrics (i.e. lace, velvet or silk)
• Decorations - e.g. beads
• Needle
• Thread
• Strong Glue

1. Plan it Out
   
   Collect all of your fabrics, equipment, decorations and whatever else you might need. Also, think about the design of your headband and what colours and patterns you might want to add

2. Get your Headband
   
   Buy a plain headband that you will customize. Be sure it is dull plastic as this is best for glueing your base material on. Measure your headband and material as well to make sure they are the width you desire

3. Customize your Headband
   
   Stick the Fabric onto the band and leave to set. Then, cut some holes into the fabric and thread some ribbon or lace into the holes,sew the lace to base and tie the lace/ribbon into bows or alternatively stick down some frills.
   
   After that,stick some decorations on such as faux gems, beads or seashells and leave to dry.
   
   You're Done!
