Step 1
When another driver does something that annoys you, stay calm. Don’t make any hand gestures that could make the other driver upset. Be careful of what body language you use as well.

Take a few deep breaths. This will help to keep you calm, collective, and cool.

Refrain from cussing at the other driver. Other drivers can often read your mouth and your body language. Cuss words are usually easy to tell.

Step 4
Turn the radio on or off, whatever makes you calmer, so you don’t dwell on what the other driver did that was 'annoying'. This can help you take your mind off of the other driver.

Step 5
Make it a habit to ‘keep your calm’ when other drivers do something that could make you upset or angry. Try do not provoke other drivers as well by not doing anything yourself that could cause road rage.
