Hi, for anyone out there who has ever wanted to take apart an xbox360 for either; modding purposes, to paint, or even to just see how things work inside, then this is for you.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Torx T10 screwdriver
  • a safety pin or even a small screwdriver
  1. Step 1

you need to start out by removing the bottom gray plate (the one w/ pads). To do so, you simply use a safety pin or small screwdriver and look in the circles son the bottom and top (white case) for tabs, and simply push them in. Meanwhile, you must apply lift up on the gray bottom to remove it.

  2. Step 2

next you must repeat the same procedure for the top gray piece.

  3. Step 3

Ok, now that you have both of the gray pieces off, it is time to move to the xbox360 faceplate. to do so, you simply pull it off.

  4. Step 4

Now, if you look at the front you will see little clips that you can lift up on and begin to slide the case off. Just pry those up for now.

  5. Step 5

So, you got the front tabs all lifted up! Next, you need to turn around to the backside of the xbox360. There you will see a 7 little rectangle holes along the point where the case top and bottom meet. There are actually tabs in there that need pushed in. So, your job is to push them all in starting on one side and working your way to the other. Meanwhile, you must lift gently to help pull the case apart and to ensure that the clips don't clip back together.

  6. Step 6

Finally separate the case top and bottom and you are done. The Torx T10 is needed to take out the screws that hold the board in the metal chassis. Hope this helped guys and thanks for looking!

Tips & Warnings
  • The clips on the back can be stubborn, stick with it!
  • you are voiding your warranty by taking apart the console.
