Things You'll Need:
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 8-10 slices of bread
- butter
- maple syrup

Step 1
HEAT UP THE GRIDDLE.
This recipe calls for the use of a non-stick skillet, but a non-stick griddle can be used as well. Set the the griddle or skillet to medium heat. Let it heat up while you proceed to step 2. -
Step 2
Add fresh nutmeg to the mix and a little extra sugar. Whisk until blended.MIX THE INGREDIENTS.
Beat the eggs, milk,vanilla,and spices in a shallow bowl with a fork or whisk until well blended. For the best flavor, I grate fresh nutmeg. I also use a bit more sugar than the recipe calls for. Season to taste. -
Step 3
Let them cook 4 minutes on one side, turn and cook until golden brown.DIP THE BREAD.
Dip bread slices one at a time into egg mixture and place them flat on the griddle about 4 minutes until golden brown. Turn with a pancake turner and cook another 4 minutes. -
Step 4
USE BUTTER AND SYRUP TO TASTE.
Serve hot with butter and maple syrup to taste. Makes four servings.
