This is an easy recipe for an all-natural facial toner that you can make with everyday stuff in your kitchen! It feels great straight out of the fridge. This is best used after your face has been exfoliated and/or a facial mask.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Half of a lemon
  • Three or four slices of cucumber
  • A cup of water
  1. Step 1

Pour the water into a bowl, and add the slices of cucumber. For more of a soothing scent, add one or two more slices of cucumber. Try to make the slices nice and robust.

  2. Step 2

Squeaze all of the juice you can from the half of lemon into the mix. Make sure the seeds are out of the bowl, to avoid having to strain them out later. A little pulp won't hurt anything.

  3. Step 3

Let everything sit for about an hour, then take the cucumber slices out of the mix. You can steep it longer if you wish, but an hour is just fine. Experiment with it, and adjust it according to how you prefer the mix to feel.

  4. Step 4

Pour the toner into a mason or canning jar with a tight-fitting lid, and store in the fridge. This toner will keep for a couple weeks, and you won't be using much of it at a time, so you won't need to double the recipe unless you're making some for friends.

  5. Step 5

TO USE: After washing face, or using a mask (recipe for that later), use a cotton ball to apply all over face and neck. The lemon will shrink your pores, and lighten skin and hair minutely.

Tips & Warnings
  • Works best after exfoliating and using a mask (I will have recipes for both soon).
