This is for a Halloween piñata but with a little imagination you can make a
piñata for any party occasion.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Newspaper
  • Elmer glue
  • flour
  • water
  • orange create paper
  • crayons
  1. Step 1

Make the mix that you will use to coat the outer layer with.
In a large bowl mix together 2 cups water and 1 cup flour.
    Mix well.

(always use 2 times the amount of water as flour.)

  2. Step 2

Cut old newspaper into shreds. The shreds should be about 3 to 4 inches
long and about 1 inch wide.

  3. Step 3

We will use a round balloon. Blow it up until it is nearly full. The bigger the balloon,
the bigger the piñata will be. I use the balloons that are for helium. They are a bit tougher.

  4. Step 4

To coat the outside with shredded up newspaper.
coat the shreds of newspaper with the flour mixture in the bowl.
Start placing them around the balloon. Make sure to smooth out any air pockets.
Continue this process until the whole balloon is covered with
about 3 or 4 layers of newspaper.

    Let the balloon dry overnight.

  5. Step 5

Color the eyes and mouth with the crayons, You can use orange create paper cut into 1 inch squares. With elmers glue begin to paste the squares on.
dab a little glue onto the center of the square create paper, do not press the square
all the way down but leave the edges sticking up.

Glue them in different places and not rows.
    Allow to dry.

  6. Step 6

With a knife, cut a small hole in the top,
only big enough to fit the candy and small toys into..
Once you have the candy inside, cover the hole with some create paper.
you will also need to make a small hole so that you can attach a string to hang it by.
Making sure the string is tight and secure.

  7. Step 7

Now you are ready to Hang your piñata and with a stick have a whack.
    Good luck.

You can also use this same steps to make a piñata spider using pipe cleaners for the legs or a piñata basket ball or a piñata Christmas ball.
For a Easter party, placing several balloons together to make piñata bunny or just use one for an piñata egg.
For the fourth of July party, use this and make it into a piñata water melon or use a long balloon for a piñata fire cracker.
Just decorate it a little different but all the same steps apply just change the colors.

    ENJOY
